Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege led the Principal Officers into the Chambers, took the office Prayers and began the Day’s Business at 10:52am.
VOTES AND PROCEEDINGS
Senator Bala N’Allah moved for the adoption of Votes and Proceedings for Tuesday, 16th November, 2021.
Senator Sam Egwu seconded the motion.
PETITIONS
Senator Ayo Akinyelure submitted five Petitions from the office of the President of the Senate:
1. Petition from Dr. S.U. Abdullah against the Nigerian Customs Service for intervention between Nigeria Customs Service -Apapa Command and his humble self;
2. Petition from Progress Miller against the Nigerian Correctional Service in respect of their flagrant refusal to reinstate him;
3. Petition from Simon Peters Ugori against the Nigerian Police Force in collusion with Douglas Teingo Ibeneye and others in respect of criminal sale of land, malicious prosecution, abuse of Human Right, unjust detention, sponsoring Community Crisis, Fraudulent, unprofessional Conducts of IPOS at Zone 16 attached to AIG monitoring team, Yenagoa in collusion with Douglas Teingo Ibeneye, prince Sunny Opara, Chief Owhonda Mgbakiri and others, a call for their arrest, investigation, prosecution and other disciplinary actions against the Police officers;
4. Petition from Barr. Barnabas M. Zayol against Prof.Otaki Allahnanah for inciting and sponsoring Killing of TIV people in the Southern Nassarawa state;
5. Petition from Promise Mbani against Hon. Minister of Power, Works, Housing & Urban Development in respect of threat of demolition of my 4 bedroom building on plot 32, Block XX,Federal Government Layout, Gwagwalada, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja without Notice by the Ministry of Power, Works, Housing and Urban Development: Appeal for redress.
Petitions were laid and referred to the Committee on Ethnics, Privileges and Public Petitions to report back within four weeks.
POINT OF ORDER
1. Senator Emmanuel Bwacha cited Order 43 to draw the attention of the Senate to the attack on a village in Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State by the Ambazonian Defence Forces from South West Cameroon, where the village head and four other people were killed. The unfortunate event took place on Tuesday 16th, November, 2021.
Senate observed a minute’s silence in honour of those killed in the attack.
2. Senator Adeola Solomon cited Order 43 to draw the attention of the Senate to the gas explosion which occurred on Tuesday, 16th November, 2021 in Mushin Local Government Area of Lagos State, where 5 people were pronounced dead and 10 injured.
Senate observed a minute’s silence in honour of those who lost their lives in the explosion.

Senator Nicholas Tofowomo who represented Senator Ibrahim Shekarau moved that the Senate do receive and consider the report of the Committee on Establishment and Public Service on the Real Estate (Regulations and Development) Bill, 2021 (SB. 540)
The report was laid and presented by Sen. Nicholas Tofowomo.
The Senate resolved into the Committee of the Whole to consider the report
The Senate in the Committee of the Whole considered and approved Clauses 1-40 as recommended, Interpretation as recommended, Schedules 1 & 2, Explanatory Memorandum as recommended, Short & Long Titles as recommended
